New York, NY — Stonybrook Capital & Risk Management (“Stonybrook”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter McGuire to its Board of Directors, effective August 5th, 2025.
McGuire is a highly respected leader in the (re)insurance, with decades of global experience, and having operated at the highest levels of the industry. McGuire founded Xchange Group, LLC which he and his team built from scratch and ultimately exited at a valuation of $101m to Ambac Financial Group, Inc. Other roles previously held by McGuire include running all insurance operations in North America for QBE, overseeing a $950m portfolio of business, and serving as the founder, President, and CEO of Starr Global Accident & Health, reporting directly to Hank Greenberg. He currently serves on the board of the Path to Peace Foundation at the United Nations and was appointed in 2023 as an Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Observer for the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations.
